OMG! Ashton Kutcher is first Twitter user with 1million followers

Actor is popular on the micro-blogging site

Ashton Kutcher posted a picture on Twitter of his wife Demi Moore in her pants

Ashton Kutcher has become the first Twitter user to have 1million people subscribing to his updates.

The actor had challenged US broadcaster CNN in a race to see who could reach the milestone.

As part of the bet, Ashton and CNN vowed to donate 10,000 mosquito nets to charity for World Malaria Day if they won and 1,000 if they lost.

The 31-year-old and wife Demi Moore, 46, celebrated the victory with a party that was aired live on YouTube.

'Victory is ours,' Ashton later wrote on his Twitter page. 'I think it's a huge statement about social media for one person to actually have the ability to broadcast to as many people as a major media network.

'We have shown the world that the new wave is here, it is present and it is ready to explode.

'We can and will create our media. We can and will edit our media. We can and will broadcast our media. We will censor our own media ourselves.'
