But actress will continue to film soap scenes this week

Samia Smith's dad Joseph lost his battle with cancer last night.

But the Coronation Street star will continue to film scenes this week despite her grief, her rep tells Now Online.

Samia's co-star Bill Roache (Ken Barlow) was left devastated by the sudden death of his wife in February.

And Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) lost her newborn baby Archie Jay when he was born 18 weeks premature.
