Singer splashes out in Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Madonna's bid to adopt Mercy James from Malawi was rejected

Madonna has apparently splashed out on a £27million New York townhouse.

US reports claim the four-storey property comes with 36 rooms, nine fireplaces and a two-car garage.

‘The townhouse is perfect for Madonna,’ a source tells the New York Post.

‘She’s trying to recreate London in New York City, and this is in the style of a London townhouse.’

It’s thought the mansion is one of the most expensive properties in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
