Actress says Britain’s Got Talent judge is good with kids

Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell are close friends

Amanda Holden thinks Simon Cowell should reconsider his views on parenthood.

The music mogul, 49, has made it clear he’s not interested in starting a family.

But Amanda, 38, who works with Simon on Britain’s Got Talent, has been impressed with the way he is around children.

‘He goes on about how he doesn’t want to get married, doesn’t want kids – and I completely understand,’ she says. ‘He has a playboy lifestyle and has a great time.

‘But it’s a shame because he’d make a great dad. He asks children brilliant questions – he’ll say, “Right, which one of you is the naughtiest?” – and they’re all so doting on him.’

Amanda is mum to Lexi, 3, with husband Chris Hughes.

Britain’s Got Talent kicks off on Saturday.
