T4 presenter sniffed pure ammonia at school
Sunday, 12 April 2009
Rick Edwards hasn't been able to smell properly since his teens.
‘I sniffed pure ammonia in a science lesson when I was 14,’ he explains.
‘It was extraordinarily painful and I haven’t been able to smell since.'
But the T4 presenter, 29, hopes the sense will come back eventually.
‘For a few years after that incident I couldn’t smell anything,' he says.
'But now if I sniff at something up close I can smell it.'
