The details of Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z's wedding have always remained private

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z marked their first year of marriage with an intimate meal.

The couple tied the knot at the rapper’s New York apartment on 4 April 2008 in a secret ceremony.

But Beyoncé, 27, and Jay-Z, 39, real name Shawn Carter, chose to keep things simple when they celebrated their anniversary on Saturday.

They dressed in casual clothes as they dined at New York’s Pastis Restaurant.
