Gareth Gates and dancer Suzanne Mole got married in July last year

Gareth Gates has become a dad for the first time.

The star's wife Suzanne Mole gave birth to a 7lb 8z baby girl on Monday morning.

They have decided to call her Missy.

'We are so excited, Missy is beautiful and we can't wait to spend time together as a family,' says Gareth, 24.

He and Suzanne, 33, tied the knot in July after six years together. 

Gareth is currently starring in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in London's West End.
