Mathew Horne's collapse caused by virus

Gavin And Stacey star passed out during matinee

Mathew Horne's spokesman initially said he collapsed from exhaustion after working flat out for three months

Mathew Horne fainted during his West End play because he had a virus.

The Gavin And Stacey star, 30, saw a doctor after he collapsed on stage in Entertaining Mr Sloane.

Mat's co-star Imelda Staunton, 53, was also taken ill.
 
‘Both were seen by doctors later that day and have been told they have a virus,’ reads a statement from Trafalgar Studios Theatre.
