Demi Moore responds to suicide threat on Twitter

Actress uses blogging site to get cops to the woman

Demi Moore is married to Ashton Kutcher, who also regularly uses Twitter

Demi Moore used her Twitter account to help prevent a woman taking her own life.

An unidentified woman in California posted a message on the micro-blogging site in the early hours of Friday morning, saying she planned to kill herself.

Demi, 46, who was in the south of France at the time, then reposted the comment on her own account so her 350,000 fans in the States could help inform the authorities.

A spokesman for San Jose Police Department confirmed they found the woman, 48, unharmed, but had taken her into custody for psychological evaluation.

Demi later wrote that the incident was a ‘prime example of the power of collective consciousness.’
