Fearne Cotton: I’m terrified of dry sponges

TV presenter the texture makes her neck tense up

Fearne Cotton admits she has a bizarre phobia.

‘I’m absolutely terrified of dry sponges – I can’t stand them,’ she says.

‘If my nose even touches it, I freak out. The texture makes my neck tense up. I cannot bear it, bleugh!’

Fearne, 26, says that it’s nightmare when she is at Radio 1.

‘The microphone is covered in foam,’ she says. ‘I just have to try and ignore it the whole show.’
