Zac Efron: Leonardo DiCaprio told me not to do drugs

High School Musical actor vows to stay away from illegal substances

Zac Efron was mobbed by fans at the 17 Again premiere in London in March

Zac Efron has been warned off drugs by Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Titanic star, 34, has been sharing his career tips with the High School Musical hunk.

‘We were talking one day and it was kind of his way-out-the-door, last minute advice,’ Zac says. 'Leonardo said, “Oh, by the way, if you really want to mess this up, try heroin.”

'I said, “Thanks”, and he said, “No, seriously, that’s pretty much the only way you’re going to screw this up, and you shouldn’t go down that road – it will mess you up without fail. Do not do drugs.”'

Zac, 21, who is dating Vanessa Hudgens, 20, plans to take heed of the advice.

‘That was enough for me; that’s all I needed to hear,’ he adds.

Zac’s new film 17 Again is out now.
