Nicole Scherzinger to perform at WrestleMania

Pussycat Dolls star will sing America The Beautiful

Nicole Scherzinger's band the Pussycat Dolls are currently supporting Britney Spears on tour

Nicole Scherzinger has signed up to appear at the 25th WrestleMania.

The Pussycat Dolls frontwoman, 30, will open the WWE event at the Reliant Stadium in Houston with America The Beautiful.

Nicole follows in the footsteps of musicians Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Ashanti and John Legend, who have all sung the classic song at the annual wrestling show.

Kid Rock, 38, has also been lined-up to play a medley of his hits, including Cowboy, Bawitdaba, Rock N Roll Jesus and So Hott.

Meanwhile, Nicole’s boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, 24, has been disqualified from the Australian Grand Prix after his team McLaren were accused of misleading stewards in a post-race enquiry.

The Formula 1 ace will be docked the points he received from finishing the race in third place on Sunday.  

WrestleMania takes place on 5 April.
