Nicole Richie to design shoe collection

Star's new range will be in stores in 2010

Nicole Richie is expecting her second child with fiancé Joel Madden

Nicole Richie is expanding her fashion line to include footwear.

The actress has signed a deal with designers Rick and Brian Cytrynbaum.

It's thought she'll design 20 shoes, as well as bags, sunglasses and belts.

‘She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her,' Rick tells Women's Wear Daily.

'[She is] by far one of America’s biggest fashion icons right now. We’re investing millions into this brand. This is like nothing out there right now.’

The new range will hit stores in 2010.

Nicole, 27, already has her own jewellery line House Of Harlow, named after her 15-month-old daughter.
