Former footballer gets his marching orders from Sir Alan Sugar
Thursday, 2 April 2009
Rocky Andrews was the latest contestant to get the boot on The Apprentice last night.
Sir Alan Sugar was unimpressed when the mens' Empire team, led by the former footballer, made a loss in the catering service task.
He blamed Rocky for the failure because he runs a chain of sandwich shops across the north of England.
‘Rocky, you’re 21-years-old but one cannot ignore what I call immature mistakes,’ Sir Alan told him.
‘Your football career was halted and you got taken off the pitch on a stretcher. This time you’re off the pitch in a black cab. You’re fired.’
But Rocky, 21, from North Yorkshire, reckons Sir Alan, 61, was always going to sack him over fellow contestants James McQuillan and Howard Ebison.
‘It’s no surprise there was me and two southerners in the boardroom and I got fired,’ he tells The Sun.
‘I respect Sir Alan but at the end of the day he’s a southerner and he always seems to employ southerners.'
Meanwhile, James, 32, admitted he wet himself while being grilled by Sir Alan: ‘He turned to Rocky and said something — and I did a little pee.’
