Jessie Wallace eyes EastEnders return

Actress wants to reprise role of Kat Slater

Jessie Wallace split from fiancé Tommy O'Neil in March

Jessie Wallace would love to rejoin the cast of EastEnders.

The actress played feisty Kat Slater in the BBC soap for six years, before quitting in 2006.

‘They’ve left the door open and I would go back,’ says Jessie, 37. ‘It’s a great show and I do miss it.’

But an EastEnders spokeswoman insists there are no ‘immediate’ plans for Jessie to make a comeback.

‘Where big favourites like Kat are concerned, we would never say never,’ she tells the Sunday Mirror. 

Jessie's character Kat was last seen driving into the sunset with husband Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie.
