When Jordan announced that she’d be running this year’s London Marathon, she launched herself into a punishing training programme with characteristic determination.
However, insiders say Jordan’s suffered a knee injury and is struggling to run beyond 18 miles, which has left her panicking that she won’t make it to the start line on 26 April.
‘She’ll have developed a knee injury because of over-training,’ says Ian Marber of nutrition consultancy The Food Doctor.
‘You need to be strong to run the Marathon and consume a lot of calories. If she’s injured, she should consider pulling out as she risks making it worse – or lifelong.’
Along with husband Peter Andre, 36, the reality TV star signed up for this year’s 26-mile race to raise £250,000 for the NSPCC and the charity Vision in honour of her disabled and partially blind six-year-old son Harvey. ‘He’s my inspiration – I can’t let him down,’ she says.
