Losing Jade hasn't yet sunk in
Friday, 3 April 2009
Since Jade Goody finally lost her brave battle with cancer on 22 March, her newlywed husband Jack Tweed, 21, has been struggling to come to terms with his loss.
‘It’s when he’s in his bedroom that it hits him,’ one friend tells Now. ‘He’s really grieving and has to stay around people because he hates being on his own.’
Jack will also need to think of his future. Although Jade said she wanted him in the lives of sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, he isn’t their father and he’ll also need to find a career for himself in the long term. He may also have to face a prison sentence later this month.
Friends and family hope the responsibility Jack’s had to take on caring for Jade will stand him in good stead when it comes to coping with his future without her.
‘I’ve had so much growing up to do these last few months – Jade and I went through so much together,’ he says.
