Max Clifford says it was never on the cards
Monday, 30 March 2009
Michael Jackson is not attending Jade Goody's funeral on 4 April.
The singer was reported to have told the star’s husband Jack Tweed, 21, he'd be at the service.
But spokesman Max Clifford reveals the reports are completely untrue.
'Michael was never, ever coming, it was never on the agenda,' he says.
'He also feels the focus of the funeral should be about her and her family.
'But he has sent a lovely message of condolence to her family, that she was a brave girl and that her message will save a lot of lives, and he will be sending flowers.'
Michael, 50, recorded a voicemail message for Jade, 27, when she was in hospital last month.
