Determined to shape up, Natalie drops a dress size

She’s desperate not to be a ‘fat bride’ and Natalie Cassidy is upping the ante to shed those stubborn pounds.
The ex-EastEnders star has already dropped a dress size to a size 14, but she’s confided in friends that her summer wedding hangs in the balance if she doesn’t shift the weight.
A close pal of the actress tells Now: ‘Nat would like to be a size 10-12 by the time she gets married and not the tiny size 8 she was when her DVD came out. She’s kept a pair of jeans from when she was slim and weighs herself every day.’
The 25-year-old’s hoping her new personal trainer will keep her motivated as she embarks on her fitness routine.
‘She’s been exercising four to five times a week and doing two hours of cardio each day. Nat alternates the treadmill or running with power walking,’ says our source. ‘But she’s struggling with her diet and has banned carbs altogether. She’s eating small portions and having soup or a pint of water before every meal.’
Nat’s new body blitz has the support of her 40-year-old fiancé Ben Porter, but she finds mealtimes a real test. Adds our source: ‘It’s difficult for Nat when Ben’s eating food like pie and chips, but that sort of thing’s off the menu now.’
Now's Claire Richards is backing Nat. Claire says: ‘All brides want to look and feel fabulous for their big day and Natalie’s no exception. My advice for her would be to aim for realistic targets – she went too far last time and tried to lose too much weight. But it’s great that she’s tackling it again and I’m on her side. You can do it, girl!'

Claire Richards should be backing Natalie after the catty remarks of last week. At least Natalie took a little while to put weight back on. I wish the mags would leave this girl alone. She is grieving for Wendy Richard and doesn't need the added pressure of how much weight she has lost or gained. She is Natalie, simply fine the way she is.
