Anne Hathaway to play Judy Garland in biopic

Actress keen to portray screen legend in movie

Anne Hathaway will star in a biopic about Wizard Of Oz legend Judy Garland.

Harvey Weinstein, who is to produce Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland, announced Anne's casting.

He says the actress is 'brilliantly talented' and 'will be a true class act' in the role.

Anne, 26, will also appear in a stage version of the movie.

Judy, the mother of Liza Minnelli, died aged just 47 in 1969.
