Records reveal the child's full name

M.I.A. has hit out at the media focus on her newborn son

The name M.I.A. has given her newborn has finally been revealed.

The singer has called her son Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman, according to Health Department records obtained by TMZ.

M.I.A., who is engaged to musician Benjamin Bronfman, 26, gave birth in LA on 11 February.

The 31-year-old, real name Mathangi Arulpragasam, responded on her MySpace blog to reports her child was called Ickitt.
