Jennifer Aniston's break up with John Mayer was apparently down to Twitter.
The couple split after the Friends star returned from Europe last month, where she was promoting new movie Marley & Me.
It's thought John wasn't returning her calls while she was away, but was putting regular posts on the social networking site.
'Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he'd update with some stupid line,' a source tells Star magazine.
'And in her mind, she was like "He has time for all this Twittering, but he can't send me a text, an email, make a call?"'
Jen divorced Brad Pitt, 45, in 2005 and started dating John, 31, in April 2008.

The truth is that Mayer and Aniston were never a couple. It was all acted. That is why he was leaving his car at her house overnight, while he got rides out hidden in the back of cars/limos, on the floor of the back seat under a blanket. Their "relationship" was a SHAM from the beginning.The TWITTER excuse is a joke. Her personal life is HIDDEN. What people posting don't understand is that she doesn't want a judge a jury of her personal life. So that is the truth, and what is more bizarre is that Vince did the same thing with TBU. They had a fictional relationship too.
