Dame Judi Dench injured in fall outside theatre

Actress told to rest after spraining her ankle

Dame Judi Dench plays M in the James Bond films

Dame Judi Dench was taken to hospital after she tripped outside a West End theatre.

The actress sprained her ankle as she left the Wyndham on Thursday night.

‘It looked very serious,’ an onlooker tells The Sun.  

Dame Judi, 74, has been forced to pull out of her play Madame de Sade.

Doctors told her to rest, so understudy Marjorie Hayward will step in until she returns next week.
