Alex Curran’s husband still faces charge of affray

Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran have 2 daughters

Alex Curran's husband Steven Gerrard no longer faces an assault charge. 

But the footballer, 28, still faces a charge of affray following an incident at a Southport nightclub on 29 December 2008. 

Businessman Marcus McGee, 34, suffered a cut face during a fight, North Sefton Magistrates’ Court was told.

The footballer, and six other defendants, will have a plea and case management hearing at Liverpool Crown Court on 3 April.
