Natasha Richardson’s death ruled an accident

Coroner says actress passed away from impact to her head

Natasha Richardson’s passing was the result of an accident, according to an autopsy.

It found the actress died from a blunt impact to the head, which caused internal brain bleeding.

Natasha, 45, was taken to a hospital in Quebec an hour after falling on the beginners' slope at Mont Tremblant resort in Canada on Monday.

She was transferred to New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital on Tuesday, where husband Liam Neeson, 56, mum Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely held a bedside vigil.

Natasha, whose death was announced on Wednesday evening, leaves behind sons Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12.
