The X Factor winner sings for businessman's daughter
Thursday, 19 March 2009
Leona Lewis received a rumoured £1million to sing seven songs on Saturday night.
The X Factor 2006 winner performed a set at the 21st birthday party of businessman John Caudwell’s daughter Libby.
Leona, 23, even did a duet with her on hit single Bleeding Love.
‘It was a night Libby will certainly never forget,’ says a source.
‘She knew something was going to happen, but she just couldn’t believe it when Leona walked on the stage.
‘Like most girls of her age, Libby is a massive fan of Leona. But most fans have to make do with listening to her tracks — not doing a duet with her.’
Boyzone star Stephen Gately, 32, is also thought to have sung to the 200 guests at John’s mansion in Eccleshall, Staffs.
‘She did perform at a private event, but all details are confidential,’ Leona’s rep tells The Sun.
John, 56, adds: ‘It was a private family event.’
