Prince William reveals 'Harry Potter' scar

Royal says the mark on his forehead sometimes glows

Prince William has a mark on his temple caused by a golfing accident.

The 26-year-old says people don't always see the blemish, which he got as a child.

‘That’s my Harry Potter scar,’ he told BBC’s Newsround, pointing to his forehead.

‘It glows sometimes and some people notice it – other times they don’t notice it at all.

'I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine.

'We were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head.' 

Wills, who is dating Kate Middleton, 27, also revealed he hoped to become a cop when he was a kid.

‘A long time ago, I wanted to be a policeman, when I was younger,’ says William.

‘I soon learned that probably wasn’t a good idea.’
