Russell Brand: I didn’t try to bed Britney Spears

Famous lothario insists he just chatted with singer

Russell Brand has rubbished rumours he tried to seduce Britney Spears.

The pair filmed a series of sketches to promote the MTV Video Music Awards, which the comedian hosted in September.

But Russell, 33, insists he never made a move on Britney, 27.  

‘All that happened is I met Britney and had a chat with her,’ he tells the Daily Star.

‘The last thing that girl needs is to be tossed around at high velocity.’
