Cheryl Cole’s brother admits assault

Andrew Tweedy told he faces a custodial sentence

Cheryl Cole’s brother has been warned he could go to jail after he admitted attacking a man with pepper spray in August last year.

Andrew Tweedy, 28, who pleaded guilty to assault and possession of a prohibited weapon, will be sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court next month.

Tweedy missed Cheryl’s wedding in 2006 because he was behind bars for a mugging.

The Girls Aloud star's husband Ashley was arrested and fined for being drunk and disorderly while out clubbing in London on 5 March.

She was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief at the time.
