Natasha Richardson is the daughter of British actress Vanessa Redgrave

Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson has sustained a serious head injury while skiing.

The actress was taken to a medical centre in Montreal yesterday afternoon.

Liam, 56, rushed to her bedside from the set of his latest film Chloe.

‘Liam Neeson left the Toronto set immediately to fly to Montreal upon news of his wife’s accident,’ his rep tells CTV.

‘We do not have any details at this time but we hope for the best and our thoughts and prayers are with Natasha and Liam and their family.’

Natasha, 45, has been married to Liam since 1994.

The couple are parents to Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12.
