An audition for America's Next Top Model was thrown into chaos on Saturday when a riot broke out.
Thousands of hopefuls were queued outside the Park Central New York Hotel in Manhattan, New York, when things turned nasty.
It's thought a stampede ensued when a car belching smoke apparently pulled up near the venue prompting cries of 'Fire!' and 'There's a bomb'.
Witnesses told a local radio station that matters were made worse when a man charged into the crowd attempting to steal handbags.Six people were injured and three people were arrested on charges of inciting to riot and disorderly conduct.
Police were forced to cancel the audition and are now working with the CW network, which airs the programme, to find out how the incident erupted.
America's Next Top Model is hosted by Tyra Banks, 35.
