SHOCK! Chris Tarrant arrested on suspicion of assault

Presenter released without charge after questioning

Chris Tarrant also hosts new ITV gameshow The Colour Of Money

Chris Tarrant was arrested over an alleged assault at his Surrey property.

Police quizzed the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host over claims he attacked an unidentified woman during a domestic dispute.

But Chris, 62, was released without charge following the incident on 5 March.

'Officers attended an address in Esher at 12.58am on Thursday 5 March following reports of a domestic dispute,' says a police spokesman.

'A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to Staines Police Station.

'He was later released without any further action being taken.'
