Actress lets marriage secrets slip
Monday, 16 March 2009
At the Bent On Learning Gala, the usually cagey Gwyneth Paltrow let slip a few home truths about her marriage to Chris Martin when she said: ‘Nothing is as good as it looks.’
Gwyn, 36, reportedly said: ‘Life is complicated and there are always issues to overcome. Yesterday, he went to Australia and I came here. You have to accept that.’
She even revealed she’s thought about the possibility of them separating. ‘Even if, God forbid, we weren’t together in 10 years or whatever, I think we’re like a family,’ she said, before muttering: ‘Chris is going to kill me for this’.
The outburst is bound to irritate intensely private Chris, 32. ‘He hates any exposure outside of what he considers necessary – his music, charity work and Gwyn’s acting,’ says a source.
As Now exclusively revealed in January, the five-year marriage has already been rocked by Gwyn’s lifestyle website Goop. Chris felt it brought unwanted attention as she uses it to talk about their favourite places and offer family advice.
