Geri Halliwell announced her engagement to Fabrizio Politi in January

Geri Halliwell has reportedly split from fiancé Fabrizio Politi.

The couple started seeing each other in December and the Italian businessman, 34, proposed over Christmas.

But Geri, 36, is said to have got cold feet.

‘She loved being in a relationship but decided that all she needs is her daughter Bluebell to keep her happy,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘Fabrizio is upset but totally respects Geri’s wishes.’

Geri, who is mum to 2-year-old Bluebell with Sacha Gervasi, has previously dated Chris Evans, 42, and Robbie Williams, 34.

Her rep did not return our calls.
