Thriller star will use pals home as base while he performs in London
Wednesday, 11 March 2009
Rod Stewart is leasing his Essex mansion to Michael Jackson while he’s in the UK.
The Thriller star will stage 10 gigs at The O2 over the summer, his first concerts since 1997.
Michael plans to use 64-year-old Rod’s lavish property, which boasts its own five-a-side football pitch, as his base.
Jacko, 50, has been working on new material and is considering giving away a new album to the lucky fans who attend the shows.
‘There will be a new Michael Jackson single before the first date,’ concert promoter Randy Phillips tells The Sun.
‘Michael has got some new music and he is looking for a new way of disseminating his material to his fans.’
Tickets for the gigs, which run from 8 July until 28 July, go on sale on Friday.
