Coolio charged with crack cocaine possession

Big Brother star to appear in court next month

Coolio appeared in Big Brother in January

Coolio has been charged with possessing crack cocaine.

The Celebrity Big Brother star, 45, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday after officers searched his bags.

He is also accused of battery, after allegedly grabbing an official’s arm, and possessing a smoking device, reports Access Hollywood.

Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey, was released on £7,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on 3 April.

The maximum penalty for this offence if convicted is 3 years in prison.
