Tara Palmer-Tomkinson reportedly had to endure a three-hour police search during a trip to Switzerland at the weekend.
The socialite had just landed at St Gallen Airport, near Zurich, on a private jet from London when custom officials and sniffer dogs allegedly stormed the aircraft.
Tara, 37, and three other passengers are said to have had to clear an intensive search before being allowed to go.
'They were terrified,' a source tells the Daily Mail. 'The officers started pulling everything on the plane apart, apparently looking for drugs.
‘The customs guys went through everything, pulling apart their luggage, clothes and even strip searching them. Tara was totally distraught about the whole thing.
'Only when they were finished were the party permitted to leave. Nothing was found. The next day the head of Swiss police called to say sorry for what had happened.'
Tara's rep declined to comment to Now Online.
