Amy Winehouse: I write poetry to calm me down

Singer says it makes her feel happy

Amy Winehouse married Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami in 2007

Amy Winehouse is dealing with her problems by putting pen to paper.

The singer, who recently returned to the UK after a 3-month break in the Caribbean, was charged with assaulting a fan on 5 March.

Amy's also stressed by the realisation that estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, definitely wants a divorce.

‘I’m writing poetry. I’ve always written it,’ she says. ‘It calms me down. Makes me feel happy.’

But Amy, 25, admits her third album isn’t going too well.

‘I don’t know when I will have something,’ she tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘I’m not feeling creative. I start things but I don’t finish them. I know when stuff is rubbish.’
