Singer accused of punching fan
Friday, 6 March 2009
Amy Winehouse must appear in court later this month to face charges of assault.
The singer, 25, has been quizzed by police over allegations she lashed out at a fan at The End Of The Summer ball in September.
‘Amy voluntarily attended a police station in London yesterday morning,’ a spokesman tells the BBC.
‘She was questioned by appointment in relation to an accusation made after the Berkeley ball last year.’
Despite the charges, Amy was seen enjoying herself at a Ray-Bans party in Selfridges last night.
She is due to appear before City Of Westminster magistrates on 17 March.
