Brooke Kinsella has received more than £50,000 in damages from the Soho Theatre Company.

The former EastEnders star fell down a dimly-lit staircase at the West End venue in May 2005.

Brooke, 25, fractured her elbow during the accident and required two operations.

Central County Court ruled that the company was negligent and had breached lighting regulations.

Judge Bailey said Brooke's injuries meant she did not get any acting work for a year.
