Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley are both musicians

Avril Lavigne is rumoured to be expecting her first child with husband Deryck Whibley.

The singer was snapped putting a protective hand over her stomach as she left a Santa Monica restaurant this week.

Avril, 24, and SUM 41 frontman Deryck, 28, tied the knot in July 2006.

They began dating in February 2004.
