Angelina Jolie surprised onlookers when she stepped out in a blonde wig yesterday.

The actress was snapped on set on her latest film Salt in New York.

She plays Evelyn, who is believed to be a Russian sleeper spy who sets out to assassinate the president.

Ange sports a soft blonde look and also wears a sultry black wig for the part.

‘She's a character you never know,’ producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura tells USA Today. ‘People who think they know the real her may or may not.

'Those who think they can tell whether she's in a disguise also may or may not. You're supposed to be kept guessing.'

Angelina, 33, stars opposite Liev Schreiber, who plays her boss.
