Singer back from St Lucia
Monday, 2 March 2009
Amy Winehouse returned to the UK yesterday and went straight to give her new home the once over.
The singer arrived at Gatwick Airport at 7.30am, having spent nearly 3 months in St Lucia.
Just hours later, Amy, 25, who is moving to Barnet, north London, was given a tour of the property by her dad Mitch, 57.
‘Camden holds a lot of bad memories,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘So while she was away her mum Janis went house-hunting on Amy’s behalf, looking at pads near her own.
‘She found a Regency-style four-bedroom townhouse in a middle-class, suburban area in Barnet. At around £1.4million it wasn’t cheap but Amy can afford it. Janis wants Amy close to her, so she can keep a strict eye on her daughter.’
Amy, who sported her trademark beehive again as she touched down, is back in the UK to deal with the divorce proceedings launched by estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26.
