Peaches Geldof: Divorce caused me a lot of grief

But socialite says it's brought her closer to her dad

Peaches Geldof married Max Drummey in August

Peaches Geldof has opened up about her divorce from Max Drummey.

The socialite tied the knot with the rocker, 24, in a shock ceremony in Las Vegas 6 months ago.

But they ended their marriage in February, saying it was a 'mutual' decision.

'It’s been a messy time but I’m cool with it now and I’m here to enjoy myself,' Peaches told Big Brother star Nikki Grahame at the NME Awards, reports The People.

'It’s caused me a lot of grief. but I have had a lot of support. I am very lucky.’

Peaches, 19, thinks getting over the break-up has brought her closer to dad Bob Geldof, 57.

‘Some good has come out of it,’ she insists.

‘Me and dad are getting on much better. He’s been great and I’ve seen a lot of him recently.’
