Blur's Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon stole the show at last night’s NME Awards – by performing together for the first time in six years.
The group disbanded in 2003 and organisers kept the reunion plans a closely-guarded secret.
‘It was the biggest surprise of the night,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror. ‘Nobody could believe it. Everyone was stunned.
'Even bands like the Arctic Monkeys and The Kooks were queuing up just to catch a glimpse of their idols.’
Meanwhile, Blur's former rivals Oasis were named Best British Band at the ceremony at the O2 Brixton Academy.
Other winners included The Killers, who got Best International Band; Pete Doherty, 29, was Best Solo Act; and Best Album went to Kings Of Leon.
