Wednesday, 25 February 2009
Adnan Ghalib has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run and battery.
Britney Spears's ex is accused of driving into a man who was tried to serve him with a restraining order on 11 February.
‘Adnan allegedly got into his car and drove it toward the victim,’ reads a police statement.
‘To avoid being penned against a trash truck, the victim allegedly jumped on the hood of Adnan’s Mercedes and hung on as the defendant swerved the car.
'The victim later fell off, breaking his wrist and sustaining other injuries. The defendant allegedly drove away without stopping.’
Britney's dad Jamie Spears, who has legal control of the star's personal affairs, requested the restraining order last month.
Adnan, 36, a paparazzi photographer, faces up to seven years in prison if found guilty.
