John Barrowman: I want to adopt

Actor keen to become a father

John Barrowman and Scott Gill have been together for 16 years

John Barrowman is considering adopting a child with partner Scott Gill.

The Torchwood star tied the knot with the architect in 2006 in a civil ceremony.

And now John and Scott feel they'd make great parents.

‘We’re not talking about a baby,' he says. 'We talked about adopting a 9 or 10-year-old because there are a lot of kids that age who really need to be adopted and really want to be loved by a family but haven’t found one yet.’

John, 41, reckons they would make perfect parents.

‘We have a lot to offer a child,’ he tells Seven. ‘A great house in Wales that’s surrounded by great schools.'
