Actor is happy for his rival Sean Penn
Tuesday, 24 February 2009
Mickey Rourke isn’t gutted about missing out on an Academy Award.
The 56-year-old was nominated for Best Actor for The Wrestler, but lost out to Sean Penn, 48.
Mickey, whose beloved Chihuahua died last week, insists there are more important things in life.
‘I'm really pleased Sean won,’ he tells the Daily Mirror.
‘He's a great actor and a great friend of mine. He deserved it.
‘To be honest I'd rather have my dog Loki back than an award.’
