Jade Goody: Nurse was with me on my wedding night

Jade Goody and Jack Tweed have been dating on and off for three years

Jade Goody spent her wedding night with her new husband Jack Tweed - and her nurse.

The couple tied the knot in Down Hall Country House in Hertfordshire on Sunday.

But they were unable to spend the evening alone in case Jade, 27, needed medical assistance.

‘There will be an ambulance at the hotel and I will have my nurse with me all night,’ she said before the wedding.

‘So our first night together as man and wife will be with a nurse.’

Jade, who has been told she may have only weeks to live, was chuffed that Jack, 21, popped the question.

‘I was so happy when Jack proposed,' she says. 'For that split second, I forgot all about the cancer, forgot all about the pain.

'I'd waited to hear the words "Will you marry me?" for so long it didn't disappoint me. I was over the moon.'
