Charlotte Church: Grow up, Gavin!

Banned from local bars, Gavin’s hardly acting like a father of two

While Charlotte Church was at home with the couple’s two children on 15 February, 27-year-old Gavin Henson had a rowdy and boozy night out with team-mates in Cardiff.

It ended in a furious bust-up and him being banned from most of the city’s pubs and clubs - including Charlotte’s favourite Owain Glyndwr bar.

Police were called to a ‘disturbance’ at the Queen’s Vaults pub, where the players were celebrating after Wales’ win over England 24 hours earlier. ‘The door staff are fed up with Gavin Henson because he’s an absolute nightmare when he’s drinking,’ said a spokesman for RAS Security.

‘He’s like a spoilt child who wants to shout and be the centre of attention. As far as we’re concerned, he won’t be allowed in any of the bars or clubs we look after. That’s around 60 per cent of the premises in the city centre.’

Charlotte, 23, was said to be ‘fuming’ after hearing about the incident and is worried that Gavin isn’t taking his family responsibilities seriously enough. She’s warned him to be a more responsible dad.

‘She’s told Gavin to grow up and stop getting into trouble,’ a source tells Now, ‘He has two children to look after and can’t go around acting like this.’

Gavin has since apologised for his behaviour after being disciplined by the Welsh Rugby Union, but he had to face the music at home. Charlotte, who was caring for their six-week-old son Dexter and 17-month-old daughter Ruby, was left unimpressed by his antics.

‘Charlotte feels ashamed by Gavin’s behaviour,’ says our source. ‘She’s made it clear to him that his family is the most important thing in his life and partying is way down the list.’
